The box for the pieces is
worn after years of use by
family members but is in
good enough condition that
it could easily be repaired.
This chess set has been
around since the time dad
was stationed in Japan
(1953-1954). |

This signature is
etched into the
bases of both Kings
and both Queens. Not
knowing the
orientation of the
characters I have
rotated the piece to
afford two views.
